Bullpen
Lines up each heat of swimmers in the bullpen before they go behind the blocks. Combines heats as necessary for a more efficient meet.

Head Timer
Directs the timer's meeting at the beginning of each dual meet. Starts extra stopwatches at the beginning of each race in case a timer needs a replacement.

Hands out "heat winner" ribbons to the swimmer or relay that finishes first in each heat.

Uses a stopwatch to time each race, then records the time. Must arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of a dual meet for the timer's meeting.
